| Earrings I’m a total chicken and have only been adventurous enough to have my ears pierced!!! I know, I know, that’s not exactly “adventurous”, but it was a huge step for me since I could get a paper cut and start feeling queasy. I took my best friend Kara with me when I got it done, and I squeezed her hand so hard it turned white! I wanted them to pierce both my ears at the same time so it would be over and done with in one shot, but when we got to the jewelers, there was only one person there who could do it. I almost backed out right then and there, but my Kara talked me in to staying and getting it over with. She kept going on and on about how I’m always complaining that I can’t wear cool earrings, and that I’d already gone out and bought a few pairs of hoop earrings for pierced ears, and said she’d never speak to me again if I didn’t suck it up and do it! Of course she was totally joking, but she was right! I was dying to wear my earrings, and I’d gone way to long without pierced ears, so I took a deep breath, and dug into Kara’s hand and did it! It pinched, and then my ears were burning after it was done. They felt really, really hot, it was so weird! But it really didn’t hurt too bad. My ears were a little sore for the next couple of days, especially when I had to keep turning the piercings, but it really wasn’t bad at all and I’m so glad Kara talked me into doing it!
