SIZING PIERCING JEWELRY

When shopping for the perfect piece of body piercing jewelry you'll need to know what size you need. Here's some info to help you discover your perfect fit.

What is "Gauge"?
The "gauge" of your piercing is the thickness of the bar that goes through your piercing. In other words, it's the barbell's thickness. *Note that the thicker the barbell, the lower the gauge size. So a 12 gauge (or 12G) barbell is much thicker than a 20 gauge (20G) barbell.

Piercing Jewelry "Length":

The 'length' of your piercing jewelry refers to the "wearable" span of the barbell that goes through your piercing. It is measured from the top to the bottom of the straight or curved barbell and excludes the balls or charms.

Piercing Jewelry "Diameter":

The 'Diameter' is used to measure the size of round barbells such as hoops, captives, clickers, seam rings, and circulars. It is measured from the innermost and widest point of the circle, inside the hoop.

Believe it or not, the diamonds aren't the only star of this hoop; the solid, 14k gold is hand-polished to a luminous shine designed to last for years to come. The side-set diamonds make this a perfect hoop for piercings like the forward helix, tragus, rook, or any other piercing that shows the side of the jewelry.

  • Note: To open ring and insert into your piercing, place each of your thumbs to the left and right of the seam on the ring. Move one thumb towards you, and one thumb away from you, turning the hoop into a spiral. Insert the item into your piercing, and realign the ends to reform the hoop. It's important to not pull the ends apart; otherwise it will bend out of shape.

I loved my 2-diamond yellow gold hoop & wore it for a year, but when I got my 4-diamond gold hoop (20 gauge), I really loved how the diamonds sparkle. Go for the 4 diamonds, it really makes a difference with the bling! Craftsmanship on the nose ring is high quality.

I had purchased the 18G, 8mm, yellow gold, 4 diamond hoop nose ring. It is pretty, fit nicely and I have not had any reaction to the jewelry. Only thing is that I was hoping the diamonds would be a bit bigger or to be more noticeable for the price.
