What Is “Gauge”?

The gauge of your piercing is the thickness of the bar that passes through your piercing—i.e., the barbell’s thickness. Note the system is inverse: a lower number = thicker bar. For example, a 12G barbell is thicker than a 20G barbell.

Piercing Jewelry “Length”

The length of your piercing jewelry refers to the wearable span of a straight or curved barbell—the section that sits inside the piercing. It’s measured end-to-end on the bar and excludes any ends, balls, or charms.

Piercing Jewelry “Diameter”

The diameter is used for circular styles—hoops, captives, clickers, seam rings, and circular barbells. Measure from the innermost, widest point across the inside of the hoop.

Beautiful but unwearable

This nose jewelry is gorgeous - the shape is so unique and overall a stunning style, really nice diamonds. Unfortunately it’s not long enough given how extremely small the bead at the end is extremely small is. It does not fit securely at all and could easily just slip out. Quite disappointed with my purchase experience overall as I tried to cancel it prior to shipment due to some unexpected expenses and was informed that it could not be canceled because the items (I bought 3 pieces of nose jewelry) are handmade. I checked the return policy and item descriptions, responded to customer service about the conflicting information but did not hear back. It’s unfortunate because I could tell this piece was way too short without trying it on/opening the packaging but I didn’t have the option to return

I purchased the double diamond nose ring several years ago. I truly loved it with one exception. The post was too long and uncomfortable to wear. I thought I would have to deal with it on my own, so I snipped the end of it. I ruined the twist and tried to improvise by bending it. It is wearable but pulls out easily. I am certainly no jeweler and it shows. Question . . . do you think you could repair it? I await your response. BTW I have been a very satisfied customer with Fresh Trends and continue to look to you for my body jewelry. Thank you for your assistance.
